Studying at home is so important, but often students find studying boring or they study ineffectively. Good study habits can vastly improve grades. Tip 1: Use flash cards! Having small “sound bites” of information is less intimidating to study and aids in memorization. Tip 2: Create a practice test for yourself. When you start thinking about how questions and answers are formed, the material sinks in.

How do you study best? Any tips to share?

  1. As a high school student, I study best when I come home and take a nice long nap. I'm refreshed and ready to hit the books when I wake up. My first class is at 7:15 - I wake up at 5:00 to look my best, catch the bus and make it to school on time. Nap time isn't just for little kids.

  2. I've always liked the idea of making a practice test for yourself. Personally, it helps me see what I have to improve on and focuses on what I need to actually study. This way, I'm not wasting my time, just looking at the answers that I already know. I find it way more time efficient.

    1. How old are you? I'm in 6th grade. How do you know what to put on the practice test? That is my problem.
